Rating: So G
Summary: Actually a prequel
to Lipstick and Coffee. Can
be read completely by itself
though. Explains just how
Xander knew that particular
lipstick color. Also part of
granting Leni’s
fandomwishlist request.
Buffy wrapped her hands
around the coffee mug. She
took a deep breath,
wallowing in the smell of
coffee and sugary sweets.
She earned this, long week
with giant snakes and the
almost ritual sacrifices.
“So have you
seen Angel, since the whole
frat party thing?” Willow
asked.
Buffy couldn’t
help the smile that lit up
her face. “Yeah, we sort of
did the patrol thing last
night. It was romantic with
the moonlight and the
holding hands.”
Willow beamed at
her. “Holding hands?”
“Okay, so there
was a little bit of kissage.
Angel’s…he’s always about
taking things slow and…God
sometimes I just want to say
Hey Angel! Slayer here, I
could die tomorrow. We could
speed things up a little.”
“No!” Xander
jerked to life, sloshing
coffee onto his hand. He
sucked in air and waved his
hand around a little.
“Angel’s right and I can’t
believe I’m agreeing with
him. Slow is good. Speeding
up is bad. Never good to
rush things.”
Buffy smirked.
“Okay so now we know your
opinion on the matter. Like
we didn’t before.”
“I understand
the want to rush, but it’s
cool. I mean that Angel
doesn’t push, ‘cause he’s
older and you hear about
older boys…not that he’s
exactly a boy and he would
never push because he’s
Angel.
Sorry, I don’t think
I’m making sense,” Willow
rambled.
“No, you totally
are and you’re right. It is
cool that Angel doesn’t
push. It’s like…he gives me
all the power in our
relationship and that’s kind
of nice.”
Xander threw up
his hands. “Can we please
talk about something besides
Angel, Angel, Angel!”
Buffy and Willow
grinned at him. Buffy
glanced around the Bronze.
There was a good chance
Angel would be stopping by
later. She had told him that
they might stop by before
patrol. She never knew for
sure with Angel whether he’d
get the hints or not. She
rummaged around in her bag
and pulled out her new
lipstick, just in case.
Buffy added a
fresh coat of the sparkling
peach color. She passed it
to Willow. “You should try
that color. It’d be good on
you. It’s called Glistening
Peach.”
Willow’s
eyebrows shot up. Buffy
nodded, reassuring her. The
red head tried the color.
“It looks good
on you,” Buffy confirmed.
“Oooo can I try
some too?” Xander squealed
in his best imitation of the
girls.
Buffy smirked.
“Sorry, Xan I really don’t
think Glistening Peach is
your color. You’re more of a
Torrid Red.”
